The team “Helmholtz” supports Helmut Dosch in his role as Coordinator of the Research Field “Matter” and the entire DESY Board of Directors in affairs related to the Helmholtz Association. It is responsible for coordinating the interests of the Research Field “Matter” and various tasks of DESY as a member of the Helmholtz Association:

• Committee work of the Helmholtz Association and the Research Field “Matter”
• Communication interface and representation of interests for DESY and the Research Field “Matter”
• Coordination with the funding agencies
• Coordination of activities within the framework of the program-oriented funding (PoF) of Helmholtz
• Research infrastructures and related roadmap-processes for DESY and the Research Field “Matter”
• Support of the Helmholtz Initiative and Networking Fund (IVF) for DESY
• Reporting (Pakt-Report, Center Progress Report, Report of the Research Field Coordinator)
