Appointments of lead senior scientists are a central instrument for DESY to position itself strategically, set scientific priorities and make the laboratory efficient, diverse and innovative.

The Appointments group is responsible for this process with groups from administration and research areas:

• Support of the directors in the realization of appointments of lead senior scientists
• Coordination of the appointment processes with internal and external committees
• Contact person for science and administration during the initiation of appointments
