Joint Workshop in June 2019 on Cooperation in Photon Science

DESY, European XFEL and the Israeli National Committee for Synchrotron Radiation intend to cooperate more closely in future in the field of research with accelerator-based photon sources.

A one-day workshop on possible collaboration projects took place on 20 June 2019 at the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Jerusalem. The workshop was jointly organized by the Academy and DESY, together with European XFEL. The objective was to stimulate the exchange on current research trends and opportunities at the involved photon sources, and was open to partner institutions.

At the workshop, DESY and European XFEL presented the new research possibilities with modern and newly emerging light sources in the greater Hamburg area. The Israeli partners presented highlights and overviews of their research with synchrotron radiation.
